The Shell clubhouse was the place to be on Feb. 15, as downtown Martinez restaurants showed off their catering skills for local businesses planning to hire them for future work-related events. The Catering Showcase, put on by Main Street Martinez, featured a full range of culinary delights, from delicious appetizers, cold cuts, sandwiches, tacos, lasagne, salads, pizza, barbecued ribs and more, all the way to a candy buffet for dessert.

The showcase drew representatives from Contra Costa County offices, the city of Martinez, Shell administrative assistants and more. Main Street Martinez executive director Leanne Peterson called the event a big success, and said that it will become an annual affair.

The participating restaurants were: Connie’s Kitchen, La Tapatia, Luigi’s Deli, Main Street Sweets, Haute Stuff, Taqueria Los Toros, Marty O’s Concessions, Pacifica Pizza and Roxx on Main. Even if you missed the event, you can still check the restaurants out when you’re planning to hire a caterer for a work event, or even just a place to visit for lunch or dinner.
