On April 16, a group of us from Shell joined hundreds of others at John Muir’s house and helped celebrate Muir’s 173rd birthday and the 41st anniversary of Earth Day. The weather was spectacular and the atmosphere was very festive. Members of our Environmental Department helped kids recycle water bottles into little flower pots.
The crowd was treated to Sister-City Greetings from Dunbar, Scotland (John Muir’s birthplace), music from bands and bag-pipes, birthday cake and a Trashy Fashion Show. I hope everybody there had as much fun as we did!
